Each impact hurricane window is given a pass or fail grade after being tested with a negative and positive pressure.
All the hurricane window we install meet the most stringent code requirements for hurricane-force winds and flying debris. Hurricane protection is just one of the advantages; impact glass does so much more for your home, your family and your belongings.
Impact windows help provide year-round security against thieves and intruders and dramatically reduce outdoor noise and filter out 99% of the UV light that enters your home and causes fading. When combined with insulating glass you have energy efficient windows that can significantly reduce cooling and heating costs. It’s continuous, 24/7 protection.

What are the Major Benefits of Hurricane Windows?
In addition to the obvious hurricane protection impact glass offers, additional benefits include:
Noise Reduction The thick glass walls of Impact Windows reduces sound transmission resulting in a much quieter home. By reducing the outdoor noise you will enjoy the sound reduction benefits on a daily basis!
Save on Utility Costs Many of our impact resistant windows filter out 99% of the UV light that enters your home. When combined with insulated glass, the result is an energy efficient window that can significantly reduce your cooling costs.
Heightened Security – Stop intruders from entering your home through a window! When the window is impacted, the plastic inter-layer adheres to the shattered glass stopping entry into your home.
How Are Hurricane Impact Windows Made?
Impact glass (also called laminated glass) is made by placing a piece of Polyvinyl Butral (PVB) between two panes of glass.
Impact glass is constructed of glass similar to the safety glass used in car windshields. In the case of impact, the glass will still break; however, it is held in place by the PVB and stops the objects from penetrating. This construction is extremely difficult to break through and keeps your home closed and safe in the case of a hurricane.
All of our suppliers use Cardinal Glass due to their dependability and proven effectiveness. Even PGT uses up to 25% of their glass from Cardinal (with the rest being produced in house).
Why Do You Only Deal With U.S.AÂ Hurricane Window Manufacturers?
In order to ensure quality impact window products, we do not deal in impact glass supplied from South America or China. Although these products may cost up to 10 percent less, they do not offer the best quality and protection for our customers. Waiting times often exceed two months for replacement parts which is a major concern during hurricane season. We would not be able to maintain our high customer service rating with ridiculously long waiting periods to replace or repair a defective or damaged part.
We instead offer great volume pricing on quality products and pass our bulk discounts on to our customers. Our goal is to continue to build and maintain a solid reputation in the South Florida market based on excellent installation services and great long lasting products and prepare people for hurricanes.
